We are pleased to announce we are looking to hire a 2nd Electrician for the Engine Department, working for the BSMCruise managed vessels.

Your responsibility will include, but will not be limited to:

Maintenance of all electrical plants and electrical equipment in the engine room and mooring stations
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
Carry out maintenance and repair, with approval from the HoEI and following formal risk assessment procedures, of:
Electrical plants and electrical equipment including power systems over 1000 volts.
Automation and control systems of main propulsion and auxiliary equipment
Electronic equipment in engine control room and engine compartment
Electrical systems of deck machinery including electro-hydraulic cranes and limit switches
Electric davits and winches
Implement and control electrical maintenance schedules within the PMS.


Requirement:

Up-to-date technical knowledge of electrical equipment and systems
Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
Strong communication skills
Diligence and punctuality
Ability to work well with multinational crew.


Key Attributes:
• Previous shipboard experience or relevant experience in similar position
• Fluent in English – must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility – must be able to work various times of the day, remain calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
