JOB PURPOSE
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing efficient and effective services to repair and maintain the properties and assets of the business. This involves the general maintenance of the site's fixtures, fittings and fabric of the building.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Carries out daily tasks as required to maintain the properties
- Performs routine maintenance tasks such as fixing structural areas ie. window, door or wall repairs
- Performs minor repairs such as decoration of walls, filling of holes and making good
- Replaces carpet tiles when required due to moves and changes
- Repairs of locks, handles, closers and door stops when reported
- Performs basic plumbing tasks, such as unblocking toilets and sinks, installing taps, tiling and grouting
- Assists with the moving of floor and desk sockets, ensuring all connections are provided
- Liaises with external contractors regarding maintenance/servicing for the properties
- Reports any maintenance issues and attend to urgent health and safety hazards
- Assists with the weekly fire alarm tests
- Ensures all buildings and rooms are secured after use
- Carries out ad hoc tasks when required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience of working in maintenance/facilities role
- Experience in general maintenance and repair work in business properties
- Good communication skills
- Able to work effectively within a team
- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act
- Practical experience of completing routine physical tasks and minor maintenance work
- Satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good working knowledge of email
- Good PC skills
- A full clean driving licence
VISA REQUIREMENTS
- Full Right to Work in the UK required
