2nd Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated 2nd Officer to join our team on board our managed cruise ship. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified maritime professional to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the vessel while providing exceptional service to guests.

Responsibilities Key:
- Assist in the navigation and operation of the ship, ensuring safe passage at all times.
- Supervise and manage watchkeeping duties, including bridge and navigational tasks.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and drills, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and proper use of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
- Support senior officers in ship operations, including port arrivals, departures, and anchoring procedures.
- Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs and records during watchkeeping.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and provide leadership to junior crew members.

Requirements:
- Valid STCW certification and all required maritime qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a 2nd Officer or similar position on board cruise ships or large vessels.
- Strong understanding of navigational and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.
- Valid medical certificate and appropriate seafarer documentation.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
