Location: Onboard Cruise Ship
Reports to: Entertainment Manager

Job Overview:

The Amusement Specialist is responsible for creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests on board the cruise ship by managing and facilitating games, activities, and recreational events. This role ensures that all amusement areas are safe, organized, and provide a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Activity Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute daily recreational activities, games, and events for guests of all ages, including trivia, bingo, tournaments, and themed parties.
• Amusement Area Management: Oversee the operation of amusement facilities, including arcades, gaming zones, and recreational areas, ensuring equipment is functioning and safe.
• Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to promote activities, provide information, and create a welcoming, energetic environment that encourages participation.
• Safety Assurance: Enforce safety regulations for all games and activities, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and used in accordance with safety protocols.
• Crowd Management: Manage large groups of guests during events, ensuring order and a positive experience for everyone.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the entertainment team to create a dynamic schedule of events and align with the ship’s entertainment goals.
• Feedback Collection: Solicit feedback from guests regarding their experience to improve future events and activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in event planning, recreation, or a similar role (preferred in hospitality or cruise industry).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, energetic, and able to engage guests of all ages.
• Fluency in English (other languages are a plus).
• Ability to manage multiple activities and maintain a fun, organized atmosphere.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for recreational activities and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting moderate weights (event equipment).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
