We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Captain (m/f) for a well known 4* European Cruise Line with mainly German passengers.

Candidate must have at least two years of seagoing experience in this position and have a ”hands on” mentality if required. Candidate should be a positive, open minded person, have strong administration and leadership skills to manage staff in a positive and productive manner.

Your responsibilities (not limited to):

• to plan and oversee maintenance of hull, decks, superstructure, accommodation spaces and deck machinery.
• to ensure that the vessel is always in a seaworthy, safe and efficient condition
• •to stand his watches at sea and ensure that the vessel is always safely navigated when at sea and safely moored when in port. To take appropriate actions in conformity with all relevant regulations and operational needs
• •to carry out stability calculations being done for the intended voyage including departure and arrival calculations and to ensure that that there is sufficient positive stability during all stages of the intended voyage •

We are looking for a very true professional candidate, with great skills and the willing & power to achieve something wonderful at all times – being reliable and trustworthy comes naturally to you.

You should also be able to work with an international team of crew and have excellent manners, be well-groomed and have an outgoing, friendly personality.

Fluent German and English is required, any additional language would be a plus, also required very good computer knowledge.
